I think the idea of celebrities raising money for children is wonderful, but I'm concerned the BBC's format has become jaded and groaned audibly when I saw it was on next Friday.
I'm fed up watching familiar faces like Lenny Henry and talentless newsreaders acting the fool and would love to see more of tomorrow's potential stars involved.
How about Noel and Liam Gallagher singing an Oasis hit with a backing band of 14 year olds? Or a half hour drama production in which Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom were the oldest members of the cast? Or Darcey Bussell dancing with the youngest students at the Royal Ballet.
Let's raise money for children, but let's have children centre stage in well crafted, professional productions, rather than merely cheering from the sidelines.
I'd love to hear how other people would improve upon this special evening in the TV calendar, or am I a lone voice for change?

I completely agreeDrusilla. The format is old and stale. It needs a complete revamp in all departments.
Agree as well - right down to the groan.
