Where is 'the' place to go in the Yorkshire dales for a nice walk, and a pint?

Burnsall and walk down to Appletreewic k along the side of the river, then back to Red Lion at Burnsall for lunch. Sorted.

Spath the Yorkshire Dales is full of nice walks, fabulous scenery, and pubs for all tastes. You've got the choice of the pretty green dales, say Coverdale and Nidderdale, or further north where it gets more barren and in some cases, above the tree line, but still, to me, beautiful. Depends what you like.
