I don't watch him but can gauge the quality of the programme from the same clip the BBC show every night.

I’ve seen him on some programmes I like to watch. He’s often with other comedians I’d pay to see. I wouldn’t schlep my way over to nearest city to see him.

I watched this as part of my Open University social sciences BSc course "The contribution of comedy within the popular culture to wider political awareness".

Initial challenge, obviously, is finding the "comic" bit. Once found we have the more valuable bonus in finding the connection between Mr Ranganathan and any plausible definition of "culture".
