Just watched the recent showing of this film on Film4.

Thought Alex Lawther as the Turing was superb.

I saw this film, but I thought that Benedict Cumberbatch played Alan Turing . I agree that it was an excellent film, He is an excellent actor.

It was interesting watching the extras that came with the DVD.

Charles Dance of course played the senior officer who hated Alan Turing. He was in uniform being interviewed, but Charles Dance rather than the character was talking. The contrast was striking.

He was saying how ridiculous it was to hear Alan Turing receiving a posthumous pardon, when we should really be asking his forgiveness for what was done to him.
