how many of you actually listen to a radio other than in the car or on in the background? Do people still tune in at home as much? I don't actually know anyone who does.
The first thing I do in the morning when I wake up is turn turn my radio on, wouldnt like to be without it., and Im not 80 either! My sister in law always listens to The Archers, she been following it ever since it first started!
I listen to internet radio for many hours per day (with ROK Radio's two British Comedy channels taking up much of that time). I listen to Classic FM most of the time when there's nothing I like on ROK (and also in the car). I have Radio 2 on when I'm bathing and shaving though and I'll occasionally dip into Radio 4 or Radio 4 Extra at other times.
I find I'm listening more and more to Radio 3. Can't understand why anyone would want to listen to Classic FM and endure intrusive adverts, when there is such a range of music on Radio 3, advert-free. My particular favourites are Private Passions (much more interesting than Desert Island Discs), Music Planet, and the brilliant Words and Music.
I turn To Radio 2 at 10:30 am for Popmaster with Ken Bruce, though
^Totally agree. Classic FM....same old "tunes" all the time, too many ads and naff presenters. For classical, my choice is Radio Caprice (Russia)...no ads, no chat, just music 24/7.
I haven’t been a fan of radio since the days when of educating Archie and Dick Barton,Special Agent, and my favourite TAKE IT FROM HERE, Ron and Eth were hilarious.
Can you remember, Paul Temple, Appointment with Fear, In to Battle, The Navy Lark, Just William, Take it from Here with Jimmy Edwards and Dick Bentley?
