Nasty Elf like creature

I no this is a bit vague, but does any one remember a play or short story regarding a woman in a flat, a very nasty creature was in it and was chasing her around it scared me witless but i cannot remmber what it was called i think that in the end she managed to corner it and get it in the cooker.

Hope some one can help it was a while ago though.

Sounds a bit like Gremlins where the mother put one in a microwave and it went pop! - but it's probably not that, is it?

No fraid not delboy3 it was a few years before that, as i recal there was only a woman envolved she was on her own. i do not think it was a film only shown on tv.

It's driving me nuts trying to remember it also a friend saw it and its bugging her now.

I seem to have vague recollections about something similar to this, was it Tales of the Unexpected where she was given or bought some sort of voodoo doll or mask which she put in the cellar when bad things started to happen so she tried to burn it, but ended up falling into the flames

Hi jules001 i dont think as i can remember she fell into the fire i was sure she trapped it in the cooker, it was pre 1982 when i saw this it might have been Tales of the Unexspected, it was very scarey though even by todays standards, the elf or demon like creature was frightning.

There was a film called Dont Be Afraid of the Dark, where a woman was trapped in a house and little gremlin like figures were trying to pull her through a sort of trapdoor into - well presumably hell or somewhere very like it. Scared me s******s.
