christmas film- wolves and ill boy

hi this is my 1st try on this site been trying to find the name of this film for years, its set at christmas a young boy who is ill asks his father for a wolve for xmas,his dad steals them from a zoo and ends on xmas eve with the wolves howling cos the boy has died, a sad film but as i remember very well made
