Bobbi I've just watched them all again and still find them funny. Excellent writing and stellar cast. Guess it wouldn't do for us all to like the same things

Yes and I used to like both of those too Bobbisox. I like to think we should be able to tell when things are funny and when things are just being nasty or un pc not have it forced on us all the time.

I always had a soft spot for "When The Boat Comes In", my mum was from that time and area and it always seemed to be on when when I was visiting her.

Paddy, yes it was a good series starring James Bolam, a lot went on to star in the Catherine Cookson adaptations

I didn't think dinner ladies was very well written or acted, you almost had to force yourself to even smile.

Yes the first 2 series that had all the original cast in them. Even my mother who is in her mid eighties still watches them.
