No I mean now did the hospital know the cancer had spread? Up till the wedding day she thought she was ok so when did she have these scans on her neck etc?

Smow. They can buy houses and move in the next day in soaps, so obviously you can go straight to hospital when you find a lump, have immediate scans and get the results all in one day.

Baldric. Actually it made me feel sorry for anyone watching who may be who may be going through a similar situation. I am not convinced soaps should take on stories like this.

^^^^ That's exactly what I said. How on earth do you think women going through this ordeal are going to feel? We all know these things happen but I don't think this is an appropriate subject matter for a Soap.

The acting by both the character Sinead and Daniel was really good and even when they went to Ken's where the family was, there's an argument for a for and against as to whether such storylines should be portrayed in soaps, soaps are supposed to reflect everyday lives although they're often way to far fetched sometimes to do this,

very painfully close to home for me, ironically yesterday had been the funeral day for my father who died of bladder cancer after beating it the first time around, it came back and spread everywhere, the conversation with the doctor was very reminiscent, I have no idea why you find it so amusing Baldric

Every sad storyline in a soap is going to be traumatic for some whether it be divorce, infidelity, miscarriage, murder, a road accident, illness, death.

One of the most harrowing storylines I've seen on Corrie is Toyah's rape; another is Tyrone being a victim of domestic violence.

Soaps can't be all fluff and light heartedness.

I'm glad there's a thread on this, otherwise I would have started one ! Yes, the acting last night was superb by Sinead and Daniel and I was filling up watching them whilst also feeling for families in the real world going through such pain. Probably one of the best Corrie's I've seen for a while. And that baby is absolutely beautiful.
