Emmerdale Plot Holes

There are often plot holes in Emmerdale. The latest couple are what did Kerry and Amy do with the hard drive they trashed when they broke in to the Sharma factory; and what did Nate do with the stolen car parts which Cain had stashed in the barn? Nate - to make himself look good - rang the police to say the stolen goods were on the farm, then got rid of them before the police arrived. Where are they? Never been mentioned again! Does nobody think these plot lines through?

I don't know why on earth they brought Mandy Dingle back for such an absurd plot.

I was wondering whether investigators would notice unattached cable wires, albeit burn't, sticking out with nothing attached. Would CCTV eqipment fully melt in a fire? I know Kerry and Amy took them but wouldn't the investigators be looking for hard drive?

I agree though. Quite a few pot holes.

Yes tigger, the whole story started ridiculously as the police / fire services should have noticed the drive was missing, particularly if they thought it was where the fire started. I know it's a soap but making it even slightly believable would have us all more engaged with the storylines!
