The board at Stoke have finally woken up to the simple fact that once again, they have appointed a manager who is out of his depth and above his abilities, and sacked Nathan Jones.
The present Mrs Hughes, a fan for over fifty years and season ticket holder, is delighted, but of course, as it is Stoke, they haven't managed to appoint a successor first.
Who knows who will want the poisoned chalice that is free-falling Stoke City - certainly none of the heavyweights they could have had if they had appointed properly three managers ago.
I know next to nothing about football, but would be interested if anyone who has knowledge would like to speculate who may come in and save the club - if indeed that is possible.
I am told that Tony Pullis and unbelievably Arsene Wenger were sighted at the ground mid week. So there is a long shot punt for you........ get on Wenger with 10 bob.
I think the problem now is that any manager who could actually do any good will automatically run in the opposite direction!
I think the club are going down, it's down the 'board' - ha ha ha, there are only three of them, and the current man in charge is Peter Coates' son who clearly knows less about football than I do!!!
