Dart Player In The Christmas Tesco Ad?

Hello, does anyone know who the dart player / contestant is on the Tesco Christmas ad? Did they have to get permission from him to use the clip? I'm just curious why they picked this particular contestant with all the hundreds who have appeared, I've tried the Google route but can't find anything, but it's great to see Jim Bowen.

He's not a professional as it's the bit at the end of the programme. His badge shows his name as "Glen" but other than that I've no idea who he is or was.

As you say there were hundreds to choose from but it may have been among the best and/or easiest ones to alter digitally.

Regarding permissions, that would depend upon the conditions
agreed by the contestants and those owning the rights to the programme.

I would say he's a contestant, as he's wearing a name badge. The professionals didn't have name badges on. I know this because Tony Green is a friend of mine. I used to work with him before he moved into darts management and promotion. He's a top thrower too but preferred the other side of darts. Just sayin'. Yer know?
