How to convert video clips to mpeg using TMPGEnc software
10 Answers
I am trying to convert video clips (not sure if they're AVI format or not - just coming up under video clips in my XP window but I want to convert to mpeg using TMPGEnc software. Unfortunately it doesn't like the format and won't open it saying it's unsupported. I can't understand why not as the software is supposed to be able to handle all different formats. Can anyone give me some tips on using TMPGEnc please? Many thanks

I think it may be to do with the way it was initially recorded - it's quite an old file and I used (at the time) a gadget type video camera - so perhaps it's the codec that was used. I think I may have to give up anyway!!
You could - if really desperate - burn it to a CD as a VCD and then rip that file to mpeg with some unspecified software.
If you're desperately deserate email it to me. I have an unguessable email address at gmail.com
