Has anyone noticed that the ad breaks are longer, with more ads than the norm? Or is it my imagination ?

Although, over the last four weeks or so, I have been re-watching Hills Street Blues on catch-up, and you can;t fast forward through the ads on that like you can with recorded progs.
I am up to Episode Seventy-Five, and I am having to mute the ads, because if I hear that brass band playing Fairy Tale Of New York one more time, I will do damage!!!
Mind you, after tomorrow, all the Christmas ads will be gone, so it will get better.

There are way too many ads for rubbish products. They just spoil programmes. Pretending there are progs worth spoiling that is! If tads were brilliant then there would be an adverts only channel and you would watch them ALL the time forever and ever. How much toothpaste and food and fizzy drink and sofas and kitchen cabinets and comparative hotel and holiday deals do you need? And the progs are NOT made by TV channels so bung the makers a min fee and pad the prog out with ads and watch the revenue fall down from heaven. But seriously if there were no adverts millions of gay boys high on coke would be wandering around Shoreditch falling into vats of flat whites.
