Just watching this on catch up T.V..As usual all the believable characters are there but what value Miriam Margolyes character brings to the programme escapes me.

I watched it but didn’t enjoy it as much as I usually do. Don’t like MM anyway, and did think it got silly in parts.
New series starting in January. We shall see.

Hellywelly, I think, sadly, that it may just have run out of steam and they are now struggling for storylines.
Don't like M M. She can be foul-mouthed and rude which I don't find funny
I agree about MM Elliemay. Another good reason not to watch. To be honest after a couple of years I found it really boring, much the same as Heartbeat and other very mundane Sunday evening series. It was past its sell by date quite a while ago in my opinion.
Yep. I enjoyed it when it was based on Jenny’s (supposed) memoirs. Since then they’ve made up more ‘issues’ and it became quite ridiculous. I haven’t watched it for a number of years. Is Trixie an alcoholic, or did she get over that to make way for the next problem?
Jo, she went away for treatment which happily coincided with the actress going on maternity leave :-)

Haven't watched it for ages - seems to have lost its magic.

I agree, ah wench. No where near as good as was a couple of years ago.
I too enjoyed the early ones much better but still watch it for what it is - on the whole I think they handle issues reasonably well.
I like MM but I agree, I found this years Xmas offering a bit boring. Will still watch the new series though.
