Nick Mason and Pink Floyd
Can anyone direct me to documentary evidence that Nick Mason is not the son of ex-Top Gear presenter, WaldoMcFroog said he wasn't but my fat friend will not believe until I show him evidence in black and white.

The second suggests Tony is a relative of Nick's somehow, the other has a silly family which includes Perry Mason and has them as brothers!!! :-)

Aha! I may have it. According to the link I found below, there is series of recordings known as the Top Gear Sessions. I suspect this is the origin of the matter:

w/topg.html THE COMPLETE "TOP GEAR" SESSIONS Late being a popular group in Britain in the sixties, inevitably found the Pink Floyd appearing several times on John Peel's "Top Gear" program. [snip]

Oh dear, i think all the confusion arises from the shared interest in fast cars NICK having driven in many classic car races the world over but as TONY once said on top gear itself they are not related in any way. Sorry no documnetry evidence to back this up just a long interest in all stuff Floydian
