Does A Suzuki Splash Automatic Have A Built In Or Seperate Oil Cooler Or One At All?
I've recently read that automatic cars need or should have fitted an (additional) oil cooler to maintain an even summer/winter temperature to ensure the transmission has a longer life.
Having owned four different automatics since 1997 (ZX,Starlet,Picanto,and Splash) I've never thought of or recognised the need for having one. Surely manufactures factor in the cooling requirements for their transmissions in all global climates. Or is it a case of third party services trying to make a case to sell you something that isn't entirely required or needed?
Can anyone elude any further?

There is (2) types of transmission oil coolers. None are integrated in the transmission.
Normally they are integrated in the radiator in a seperate section. Upon cleaning the lines to the radiator cooler you normally do a pressure test. You can flush and verify the system, The other type of Trans Oil coolers is a separate unti and unless it is leaking there are no requirement. It can be cleaned upon replacing the Trans ATF Fluid.
