It seems to me that John Barrowman is not very popular with many on here,
I can’t comment on him in regards to dancing on ice ,as I don’t watch it,
My question is if he is so unpopular why does he get so many shows?
My opinion of him is that he goes ott in regards to him being a homosexual.

Well Jordy I think he's a gorgeous looking man and I would suggest he is a bit 'over the top' on the TV as it is his TV persona. Its a pity he bats for the other side though ;-)
The fact is Jordy he’s a very versatile entertainer, sings, dances, he is good looking but it is just lately he’s been camping up on DOI, I don’t dislike him per se but just wish he wouldn’t act so camp when he never used to, he’s looking more and more like a Julian Cleary
Question Author
Bobbisox1,I was told years ago that Julian cleary was not a homosexual, and for long enough I believed it,
It was just an act he is really straight, how gullible I was,
Aunt pollygrey ,you’re right he is a good looking man ,
He doesn’t just bat for the other side, I think he bowls as well.
Haven't watched everything of John's but he's good in Dr Who now and then.

Julian Clary is delightful, love him.
I like Julian Cleary , he camped up since he first hit our screen whereas JB seems to have just started with it, I’ve read Julians autobiography and it’s very good, give me someone like Paul O’ Grady any day tho, he doesn’t have to shout out and say he’s Gay
JB has probably been given instructions to appear more 'theatrical' than normal on dancing on ice. I get on really well with Gay men and don't mind how Camp they are. Some straight men are really Camp depending on what the do for a living. I had a hairdresser for 18 months before I found out no he wasn't Gay he was married with two children and very much heterosexual. I know two farmers who are Gay but try and hide it -they are miserable so and so's, give me Larry Grayson anytime ( ooo shut that door!)
Haha, now I didn’t like Larry , gay or straight, he made my teeth itch :0(
apart from DOI and the occasional Dr who, i cant think of anything he's been in in the last few years. What are these "so many" shows?
Badnobs Don't you have Google ? LOL!

He’s been in a few Netflix things, one that springs to mind is Torchwood, also did a stint as Joseph on the West End, and Dr Who
i still cant see loads of shows he's been in recently/last couple of years?
torchwood was on about 10 years ago!
I think he did a tv show last year called The Musicals, the one where the Vicar out of Corrie won with his Greatest Showman rendition
Also in I’m a celeb last year ( or was it the year before)
I suspect he is slowing down now as he gets older and just doing occasional showbiz. Apparently he and his sister are writing books, which probably keeps him busy. I don't think he's particularly camp on DOI, compared say to Bruno Tonioli. Anyway, I like him because he always seems cheerful.
Margarettom yes he seems a lovely man and I guess he'll be much the same off screen as on. He has many strings to his bow including lots of theatre work and voice overs. Probably he's made enough money on TV to now be comfortable and able to concentrate more on his writing.
I once saw a docu on hi where his family emigrated from Scotland to Canada, his grandmother was a very formidable figure whe was small living in Scotland, apparently one of his teachers slapped the back of his head for talking, the next day his grandmother burst in the classroom , headed straight for the teacher, hit him with her shopping bag a few times and shouted See how you like it!! Then left , lol
its not that he is unpopular, just a bit OTT.
I see him on stuff sometimes and just don't think much about him, I've never seen Torchwood and only a few Dr Who's since Tom Baker. However he played a great bad guy in 'Arrow' for a few series.
As far as I am concerned people can be QAF and as camp as a row of tents if they are intelligent and witty. You make me laugh or think about things a little more you get my vote.
