Stopping The Ads Strap On Yahoo Mail

Hi all,
I use Firefox as my browser, and I've got AdBlocker installed.
Unfortunately, it doesn't block the annoying ad strap above my emails on Yahoo.
I've had a go at stopping them but with no success.
Not surprisingly, Yahoo make the process of blocking these annoying ads extremely complicated and difficult.
I would quite happily leave them, but they must be eating into my data allowance.
Can someone help me to go through the process of stopping them please ?

There is an addon imaginatively titled "yahoo mail hide advert panel"
hopefully that will cure your ills but I havent seen one yet that gets the adverts disguised as news out.
