Spike in his own TV film?!!!!!!!!!!

James Marsters has been approached by Joss Whedon to do a Spike Film! He's approached Amy Acker to play Illyria and Tim Minear to direct! If James can fit it in between his Smallville work who knows! This might be interesting! It will be a TV movie for the WB network so we'll be lucky to see it here but it is sort of exciting! It's not set in stone but it's a possibility!

oh that is fabby! I always thought Spike was one of the great characters in both Buffy and Angel - especially when they did the 'flashbacks' to show what he was like before being sired - always a hoot! and incredibly good lookin too

Sounds good to me...but surely you can't have the Spike story in any form without some involvement of Angel(us) - and i don't think (the delicious) David Boreanaz would be that interested.

It's a shame the series got axed when it did - the Angel/Spike pairing was fantastic - and i think there's a still a lot of mileage in it.

Of course if the film was to show any of William's history, not only will Mr Boreanaz have to show his face, but also Juliet Landau (Drusilla) and Julie Benz (Darla).

The other problem is that vampires don't age, and altho James carries his age very well indeed...they're gonna have to get cracking, cos botox can only do so much!

The idea has great possibilties but only if they can get all the cast they need, instead of writing the story around the characters they can get.
