As per my previous post about the sexual abuse suffered by the singer Duffy, she's, as she said she would, released details of her ordeal.

Two sides to a drugging, kidnap and rape allegation? The only way there are two sides is whether she is telling the truth or lying. I may be naive but I believe a victim's story, whether she's a celebrity or not.

I'm not sure she is. I think a lot of it is on Instagram. From what I'm reading, it seems like this reveal is therapeutic for her. Opening up and confronting the horror she's been through.

While she has shared details of the attack, Duffy has not named her perpetrator




She should either name her perpetrator (to the police) or shut up.

Surely she has to deal with this horror in her time and in her own way. I think she needs acceptance and compassion.

I think revealing details of kidnapping and rape bit by bit like some soap opera is rather unsavoury.

In the link she says, "I have told two female police officers" and "The identity of the perpetrator should be handled by the police and that is between me and them." And that is how it should be.

Question: Why was this not reported to the Police, and if it was why was no-one brought to trial.

If I was being really cynical (heaven forbid) I would suggest this has all been brought to the surface to try and rekindle her career.

How is she helping others if this kidnapping rapist has not been pursued by the full force of the authorities?
He could be a serial rapist, a rapist that must have enormous resources that allow him to traffic a (at the time) global superstar.
