Does anyone remember a tv programme, where different hauliers, but in bids to win the delivery of an item/items around the country and sometimes abroad.

I seen a series I think you mean. I think there was one showing UK folk and one with Americans but might be wrong about the Americans.

I think they had to re-create the bidding bits but then followed the winners on the journey.
