Watched a documentary about the life story about Bette Davis through the week and I recall enjoying some of her movies years ago but because there weren't subtitles I sorta didn't follow understanding what some of them were about. Like "Whatever happened to Baby Jane" per se.

I don't have a Smart TV but was wondering if I bought one of those Firesticks that you plug into the back of TV - could I watch these black and movies again.

Yes ILM - Chris is great - wonder if he is on - I'll look out for him and bump this up again. Ta Ta ILM
He doesn't appear to be on at the moment jj.
Firesticks do have subtitles if the programme has them.
Question Author
thanks Sharon - that's good to know but I was really wondering can I "choose" a movie - like the old black and white ones.

I went to Facebook and called up All About Eve - per se- but it only allows you to watch like trailers.
Question Author
ILM - think he surfaces around night-time.
Firestick does give you access to lots of programmes/films on amazon, Netflix etc but the question is whether any of these have old Bette Davis films on them. For example Amazon prime has a lot but they are not all free, some you have to pay £2 or £3 for on top of paying for the prime subscription in the first place. Or you can just pay for all of them without paying for prime each time you watch.
You could also check youtube. Some old movies are on there for free and some you have to pay for. For example All About Eve is there for free.

sorry Prudie - I did mean Youtube when I said Facebook - silly me

You will need Kodi on a Firestick for content.

When you write, "per se", do you mean, "for example"?
What ever happened to baby Jane was a great film imo, jj.
Baby Jane is here for free but no subtitles

thanks all - yes there was a feud with them - but when Joan Crawford's daughter wrote the book "Mommy Dearest" - Bette Davis stuck up for her ie Joan Crawford so they didn't hated each other as much - anyway yes looked - no subtitles. Ah well.
