Weekend Workshop

Occasionally end up watching this if the dogs are on my lap and I can't reach the remote - and every time I become more incredulous not just at some of the monstrosities they make but at the cost - rather than upcycling unwanted stuff they often end up buying things and then proudly say 'and it only cost me £40' - I am sure someone is pulling our proverbial plonkers to see how much we take seriously. As for that Zoe woman some of her 'designs' are so bad they are embarrassing. Why would you paint a plastic giraffe white then paint gold spots on it? And the end result being adorned with disco lights which would have given the same effect without the giraffe. Or am I missing something?

While I can see that the series might have a certain level of 'entertainment value', I can't see it as offering many practical solutions to DIYers!
Just how many viewers, for example, will actually need to know how to convert a land rover into a hot tub?
Bring back Barry Bucknall!

I watched the first episode and was very disappointed. As you say, not a single practical refurbishment to be seen. And certainly not for the amateur creative person who wants to fix or has thinf s up a bit without the need for endless trips to B and Q to get tools they haven't got...or moving house because they've not got the space.
I watch "find it, fix it, flog it", The Repair Shop...and another one the name of which escapes me...along with Escape to the Chateau. I'm not left throwing my hands in the air with them.
