a bit political, n'est-ce-pas?
I liked it as ever for the baking. Presenters I could take or leave
Enjoyed it as is usual for me. No criticism about the presenters and none relating to the contestents. Strange to ask what people think of the contestants....were you expecting people to be critical on the first programme?
mally you kind of get a feel for the ones you like and the ones you don't even this early on. I liked that boy who won star bbaker, but I also liked the pantomime producer girl. The chubby blonde one did my nut in!
I also liked that man who microwaved his cakes!

A bit strange mally ? I think your comment is a bit strange to be fair. I can see nothing wrong with the question at all - how odd !

That's me done on this thread, not up for stupid comments today on what I thought was a nice, easy going thread.

Thanks for your comments bednobs.
I'll answer...even if burlyshirly may not see it...
I like Matt Lucas and expect the banter to get silly crazy between him and Noel Fielding. He'll be fine.
No favourites yet with contestants...ask again next week.
As they are all in a "bubble" it shall be interesting to see how relationships might develop.
Yes I watched it. It was a wonderful episode with joy and laughter on screen and in our house . I like the presenters and contestants.
do ya reckon they're in a hotel bubble to make it easier for paul to sleep with the young lady contestants?
Eeeekkkk!!^^^^^
It never entered my mind...now it's stuck there....*rolls eyes*
Not sure the political sketch was needed at the beginning. Whose idea was that? Not a huge fan of the show but will watch from anout half way through as usual.
The jury's still out on Matt Lucas. I think he's to similar to Noel, whereas he and Sandi gelled beautifully with their contrasting styles.

I'll certainly be rooting for the pantomime girl to stay as long as possible. No reason. Honestly...
Hi Burley - I thought it was ok. A wee bit of drama when the girl knocked off the buns but do think that the last girl (loreeah) shouldn't have been the first to go, and the other bakers expressed surprise at that too.
I enjoyed it & am grateful to all involved for "bubbling" in order to get the programme made.

Matt was fine, he'll work well with Noel & the contestants seemed a good bunch. My favourite is Lottie. Oh yes she is! ;-)
Loved it, wondered how long it would take before a question was raised about the presentation presenters and contestants
didn't you have any you liked more than the others? or do you mean every year AB seems to get involved with GBBO and no one has this year?
I enjoyed it and thought Matt worked well as co presenter, early days but I'm hoping Makbul from my home town does well.

Seem a good bunch generally.
I thought Matt Lucas did much better than I expected, never been that keen on him.
I see theres been complaints in the 100s about the first bit
