How apt that the blandest Dr Who ever has the blandest ever edition of Who Do You Think You Are, usually one of my favourite series. I’d say that I can’t wait for her to be replaced as the Time Lord, but we all know the BBC’s priorities for her replacement will be box-ticking political correctness. What do you reckon? More disappointing is that David Walliams is next up on WDYTYA

Tonight's wasn't the best episode but none of us can say how entertaining our ancestors might be to others, I quite enjoyed it.
I never watch the program (WDYTYA) and liked Jodie as the Doctor but thought she was let down by the stories.
I dont normally watch it, Is the David Walliams one on next Monday or is it on before then?
I'd wish people would stop with the box-ticking rubbish.

It's 2020....it's about bloody time they tried new things. If it doesn't work, don't worry, it won't last.
I have no problem with Jodie Whittaker, the problem with the current version of Doctor Who is with the writing, not the actress.

Stop with the box ticking rubbish, moaning and playing games with names?

Won't happen, some folk are sadly just made that way.
Who does David Walliams think he is?

A clever comedian and highly rated children's author who thinks the public persona of someone's perverted uncle is an attractive persona to present to the world at large.
i like Jodie and think will do a catch up later on, i agree about the stories on Doctor Who, mostly abysmal...which is a shame.

Mamyalynne, it is your beloved BBC that do the box-ticking, and to such an extent in recent times that that once great institution has become a pathetic joke no longer fit for purpose
Haven't watched Dr Who so the name meant nothing to me, I find David Walliams a complex character ,camp as Christmas but I think his story will be interesting so I will watch it
People on here do love to rant about the same old stuff, don't they?
Do the sets still shake in Dr Who ?
//Do the sets still shake in Dr Who?//

No, just the toxic fanbase. There are a lot of keyboards with the keys W,O,K and E worn out from mouth frothing Whovians.
well the next Dr Who, will probably be a non white TG disabled dwarf lesbian against the bomb!
Thank you for singling me out Blip, the BBC is not 'beloved' to me - it does turn out some good programmes as well as some I don't touch with a barge pole.

Like everyone I choose what to watch.

I fail to see how having a female in a show such as Dr Who is controversial in any way - she's not the best Doctor but she certainly isn't the worst.
Put your money where your mouth is TTT.
Sylvester McCoy, anyone????
//a non white TG disabled dwarf lesbian against the bomb!//

Well that should make for quite a lively Who Do You Think You Are so at least the OP will be happy.
Can't comment on Dr Who as I've never watched it in my life, but I saw Jodie in Broadchurch and she seemed good in that. I did watch WDYTYA last night and I did find it boring. One of the best I saw was when it was Mark Rylance. Will watch David Walliams next week and hope he has his serious hat on and doesn't flaff about.
WDYTYA will be a bit boring all this year because of Covid; they can't go zipping around interviewing people and poring through archives as normal.
