Twitter, How?...(Or Even Why?)

You're put in a car, never driven before and told to drive from A to B...how?...you would have to be shown and/or told. So, how do I use Twitter? What is the most basic and ultimate book/site for absolute thickos (me) to know how to use Twitter, for it would seem that to get in touch with people Twitter is one of the normal ways these days, emails seeming to have dried up!...so I need the absolute beginners' book of beginners' book or whatever ! Ta Very Muchly and Take Care All.

When you sign up and create a profile there is a Help Centre which can provide guidance.

When I signed up many years ago I found it confusing to navigate but you soon get the hang of it.

Okay Tigger, I will put a toe into the water, so to speak and hope that this help centre is all written in plain English - I guess I go for twitter.com or summat like that?

Just Google Twitter sign up and it will take you to the create account page.

I don't know anyone who uses twitter to keep in touch -its public isn't it? Most people I know use What's App or Instagram if they are under 25 the rest use messenger or FB, but I do agree that apart from business emails I hardly use emails for keeping in touch.

I too found Twitter confusing so gave up. I do read funny tweets though.

I only follow my work colleague/manager on Twitter and she follows me. The only others I follow are people in the public eye and famous.

I do get frustrated with the amount of abuse some people get and I'm constantly reporting stuff.

I use Twitter for competitions, there are loads of them on there and the majority of them are quick and easy to enter.

Oh, I don't think I'll bother then!...it's going to be a hassle for my screen reader anyway and it's not really worth it for what I was after, which was no big deal anyway...so Many Thanks All and Take Care.
