... with a superb performance from Ian Bannen, too.
The Name of the Rose.
When he was young Marnie. Never been a Bond fan. When he was older The Untouchables.
(1)The Untouchables and (2) A Man who would be King.
Highlander for me, although brilliant in it perhaps not his best performance but is one of my favourite films.
I can't remember the name. It was a military type film set on Africa in the 1800s. Michael Caone was in it
'Zulu' Rosie - Apparently there's tharsands of 'em...
Thanks Shoota x
^ I'd assumed you meant Zulu Rosie but Sean wasn't in that (unless you are mixing him up with Stanley Baker).
I don't recall Connery in Zulu. Michael Caine was in The Man who would be King with Connery set in India and the the North West Frontier.
Stanley Baker played along side Michael Caine and Nigel Green in Zulu.
The Wind and the Lion, The Man Who Would Be King, Robin and Marian - three of the greatest adventure romances ever filmed, and he made them all within a year.
Yes you're right, I was getting mixed up with 'The Man Who Would be King'.
They all look the same in redcoats...

Never been a Bond fan so my fav Sean Connery film is The Hill (1965).
It is a bit of a potboiler but I always watch 'Shalako' when it is dragged out and dusted off to fill a slot on the box.
I read the book when I was a boy and it has Brigitte Bardot in it...
RIP Sean.
Darby O'Gill and the Little People is pretty good and has amazing special effects.
He was pretty good in "the name of the rose"
