More Light, Less Darkness

Can I introduce you to one of my favourite animal charities, Manor Farm? They look after disabled farm animals, animals that the world has given up on.
This is their website, where you can buy calendars, a great Christmas gift (sorry for the plug!):

And this is a short film showing one of their residents, a one-legged duck, and as Di, who runs the place, says: "He won't give up, so I won't give up on him."

With people like this in the world, much of the darkness recedes.

And my dog rescue charity I posted when I adopted Jay. Actually. I would be really surprised and disappointed if Allen's post was to be removed and stayed removed.

Well, if I’ve offended, so be it.
But a) such a wonderful, non-profit organisation lifts (most) people’s spirits
and b) I’ve rarely seen such a petty-minded response as above, not in fact since 3rd year primary when Pat Smith used to regularly cry “Miss, miss, Allen’s done xxx or xxx”. But even Pat Smith wouldn’t have called ‘umm’ over disabled ducks.
Shame on you.
