Just watching BBC Breakfast and her interview with Gavin Williamson. Now I don’t care much for Gavin Williamson but how rude of her to be talking over and interrupting him.

don't many of them do that, the classic being Piers Morgan
Seems to be the way now. Have you seen piers Morgyn and Susanna Reed on itv. A know politicians often dodge the question but they never give them chance to finish a sentence
don;t let them get a word in edgewise, so they can't explain their position on any given subject, i wonder why they interview politicians at all sometimes
I do believe that not so long ago she was "ticked off" by the Beeb for that very problem - she was off screen for a while. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

they continue to do it, she isnt the only one, Andrew Neil is another who never lets them speak
Dont ever remember good interviewers like Robin day and Brian Walden been so rude. Mind you they wouldn't of got away with it with harold Wilson or Maggy Thatcher
Perhaps she fancies herself as a Robin Day or Jeremy Paxman; the difference is that they just patiently waited until the interviewee answered a question not asked and then repeated the question until they got an answer, which is not the same as constantly interrupting. We turned her off in disgust.
i tend not to watch breakfast tv at any rate, but this is one of the reasons why
they should take lessons from the excellent Stephen Sackur on hardtalk
grumpy liddle thang .....
you that is!
seems we all agree with you grumpy...
to a certain extent she can identify a stock prepared answer which says nowt
and wishes to cut across it
BUT
that excludes anything on Covid
because - - - - if they dont understand it themselves, they cant explain it to us
It's become the fashion they might as well interview a cardboard cut out. Andrew Neil is the worst, I'll never forgive him for making me feel sorry for Agent Cob.
I noticed that as well. She asked him something and he had only got a couple of words out and she was interrupting him. I am not that keen on him as he sounds like one of those presenters from Watch With Mother if anyone can remember that. But she has to give him a chance to answer. Then if she didn't like the reply ask again.
These days the interviewer is always trying to make a name for themselves by appearing to have the upper hand or tripping up the interviewee. I'm waiting for someone to come along and sit in silence rather than try and answer at all. They'd never notice they fire questions like a tennis machine without any chance to answer. I never liked Paxo but at least he knew how to pause and let them dig their own hole. This latest crop need to go to interview school and learn from the experts, Frost, Day, Walden etc
At least Andrew Neill proves and draws things out, he doesn't just talk over them and ask silly questions like piers morgyn does
Probes not proves
don;t agree about Andrew Neil
Dont ever remember good interviewers like Robin day and Brian Walden been so rude.

yeah I do
memory is a funny thing

I remember robin day being full of himself
I also remember Harold wilson going from catch phrase to catch phrase
forged in the white heat of the tecnonolojical revolution
being one

some reason always tekono- logical
1963
twas always thus

No I’m not keen on him shedman. However, contrast that with the section with the two scientists talking of how the COVID vaccine trials were done and what we can expect going forward, once the question was asked the answer was given pretty much uninterrupted.
