Did I fall asleep during the latest episode but the Norwegian cop, who reluctantly attended his father's funeral at the wishes of his sister
and bro-in-law, was then expelled from it while sitting quietly at the back. Why?

Well I presumed it was because of his sexual preference as they were Jehovah Witnesses. Very good series enjoying it.

It IS set in Iceland...the cop from Norway was seconded to Iceland to help out, him being from the local area originally. However, he has now been recalled...or so the Police Commisioner said - but do you really believe/trust him?
This is the fourth Icelandic series we've seen...all very, very watchable.

Yes, perhaps some family history with him being gay (assumed from the ONS) and being (formerly?) a Jehovah.

Arnar was born and fostered in Iceland by the commissioner and his wife but moved to Norway to progress his career then was called on to help Kata with the investigation.

I got a bit confused because the commissioner, the prosecutor and the bloke who wrote the whitewash report all looked alike.

The State Prosecutor was the one who wrote the whitewash report.

I was more confused as to why he was happy to gut everyone with his weird knife without hesitation but wanted to take the detective on a spurious boat ride at night..... that and how a drugged woman can dive into the freezing sea and perform life-saving manoeuvres.....
