It wasnt, I hadn't seen it before I just don't get how everyone thinks it's so brilliant. It was too long, and hammy as heck. I kept watching to be able to say I had.... Life's too short.
Its a very old film and like many others I used to love as a child, its now very dated. I've outgrown it now but some people keep it as a Christmas tradition. I can imagine how unappealing it would be to someone who didnt grow up with it.
I love it, it was not on last year on any channel, this year, it's listed for a few channels, I sat today and watched it with my sister - she in her home in a different town, me here, and we messaged each other and we just love it, all planning for Christmas is put to one side to just sit and watch it. It's like a parable, kind of reminds us why we are important in other people's lives and they in ours
Ive not seen it but it reminded me of the other day, everyone kept saying the ELF was one of the best christmas films ever. Last week I finally watched it for the first time and to be honest at the end I thought to myself whu does everyone else think its a wonderful film? I wouldnt want to watch it again. I think Polar Express IS A FAR BETTER FILM. wGAT DOES EVERYONE ELSE THINK?
