Melchitt: Field Marshall Haig has developed a top secret master plan that will
guarantee success against the enemy.
Blackadder: Would this plan involve our men climbing out of the trenches and walking
slowly towards the enemy?
Melchitt: How could you possibly know that, Blackadder? This is TOP SECRET!

Blackadder: Because we've done this 18 times already!

Melchitt: And that is what is so special about it! We've done it that many times,
they won't expect us to do it again!

And the casualties keep piling up! They could have been talking about Covid, couldn't they?

You might be right, Darling.
Love Blackadder :-)
No
Yes.
Almost perfect timing referencing Gen. Sir Anthony Cecil Hogmanay Melchett, 10ClarionSt. :-)
Pixie you found a free one, Rowan Atkinson, Richard Curtis and Ben Elton wrote it and performed, so I guess they were able to write their own characters. I loved is especially the "hello Darling" line
It was great... may have to find and rewatch now :-)
I will be doing similar later after a couple of chores.
Who did Richard Curtis perform as?
Wibble
:-)
Was he not Melchit ( not sure)
Stephen Fry was. I know Curtis co-wrote most of them. I wasn't aware he was in it, but he may have been.
Stephen Fry was Melchett
Richard Curtis didn't appear in any Blackadder series unless I didn't notice him. Ive watched all of them many times :o)
Me too, tiggs:-) also didn't see him acting in it.
Ben Elton appeared in Blackadder The Third.
