Hello everyone, I hope you all are doing well. I need help in English, actually, I'm going to write an email to my professor and I want to confirm with him my assigned tasks, Please can someone proofread my email thank you.

I’m writing you to know about the assigned task. What is the deadline for assignments and I want to confirm that we only have to submit three summaries and one video, and I’m writing my term paper as well, for that, I want to confirm do I have to submit my term paper's proposal and what is the deadline for term paper proposal?

I think the word "clarify" would be better than confirm. Say "I am writing to request clarification of my understanding of the assignment. Am I correct in believing that three summaries and a video are required ? Do I have to submit my term paper's proposal, and what is the deadline for this ?"
