does anyone remember it? i think it was called taking over the assuylm and starred ken stott but no one seems to remember it was it just me?

Yes, yes, yes! It was on BBC2 a few years back, even won a Bafta for best drama and a certain young David Tennant appeared in it too. It was fantastic. Funny, touching and dramatic. One of my favourite scenes ever was when Campbell (David Tennant) totally confused his fellow patients trying to explain a competition he'd devised for the hospital open day so he simplified it by saying "basically, it's spot the looney!" and they all nodded their heads in unison at once. Brilliant! Wish the BBC would repeat it.
I'm quite glad the mooted Hollywood film with Jim Carrey never happened.
