Skyq

Have it in about 2 to 3 weeks now - and have noticed that programmes that I could see on my ordinary Sky - eg, Sky Documentaries, Sky Atlantic, Sky Comedy etc - if it goes into Catchup and if I want to look at them - it says at the top to upgrade my package.
Now, do you have to pay for Catchup. which I don't want to do as I'm paying enough.

I have the basic package and pay £17 per month. I was offered SkyQ, but didn’t fancy it. Any channel you can watch for free, would also be free on catch up, so it doesn’t make sense you are being asked to pay.
When I have a problem with Sky I always phone their customer services, which are very good and always UK based operatives, who are easy to understand. I know this is a problem for you jj, but is there an online chat?
If you moan about the cost when they have sorted your problem out, you can sometimes get your bill reduced too.
PS. If you do phone you get a message threatening a 20 minute wait, but I have never waited more than about 3 minutes (long time customer apparently).

no Barry - they were Sky programmes on the Sky+ that I always could record - mind you - haven't recorded what I';m talking about - Sky Docs, Sky Atlantic so I'll give that a go - thanks ie record
I;m paying £25 for this basic package whereas with the Sky+ I was paying £38 - I will try and record tonight from the Sky and yes I have "chatted" to them before and it was quick enough.

right - know now what you were referring but followed Togo's instructions.
First of all I was on HD (High Definition) and changed to Standard Definition.
Then when I went back to the OnDemand or Catchup (can't remember now) there were or are they box sets of say The Gangs of London (looked at that like a second) but too afraid, then I saw Mildred Pierce - it lets you download and allows me to watch.
Thanks Guys - is Catch Up and On Demand the one thing? Or do you have to do something on Catch Up too. I'm learning every day.
