If that was Natasha R just now I think she was suggesting that a big profit was needed to cancel out the Blues £84 losses on the first 3 items. In fact the bonus buy sold for £30 - losing £50!
Here’s what’s coming up.Why do they do that?Natasha Raskin-Sharp her inane laughing is so irritating,don’t watch when she’s on.Christina Trevanian,now that’s different.
I like BH, agreed, a lot of what they buy isn't quality but there are pleasant surprises. I was surprised the engraved cufflinks made a couple of pounds, perhaps they were worth that in silver.
I like BH not only for the surprise profits it sometimes throws up but also for what I learn from it. There have been several occasions when a nugget from there has helped me answer a question in one of our Quiz League matches. Whether the Quiz League itself will survive the pandemic is, of course, a different matter entirely.
I watch Bargain Hunt but have to record it and whizz past the “here’s what’s coming up” segment. Can’t understand why they show us so much of the programme before it starts, spoils the element of surprise.
BH - buying from dealers & selling at auction is almost always a no-win situation. The best prog for sellers IMV is Dickinson's Real Deal & the one where several dealers view your collection & bid against each other for items you may want to sell (can't remember the title).
I think Flog It, where they sometimes take gold items to auction is completely cheating the sellers who would get a better price for scrap.
