There was a lot of anti-English bigotry from the ROI at the time.
There was also anti-ROI bigotry from our lot too I'm ashamed to say.
The Troubles were relevant like it or not.
There is a brilliant documentary about irish rugby and the troubles by Brian O'Driscoll - worth seeing.
The Jack Charlton programme was also very good. He was no saint Jack, but a great character. I could have done without seeing him in his nudiness tho :-)
