gonna need a link for this one.
You might have to clarify what your idea of 'the wider implications' are, Andy. Might save a lot of...erm....misinterpretation.
according to Omid Scobie, Ofcom are in breach of the Human Rights legislation, because freedom of expression under the 1998 Act is subject to the restriction of 'protection of health or morals'.

yesterday is unlikely to be the end of it.
well that's the Tower of London spared as in having to stage an execution.
Doe it not open a can of worms? Next time a Bojo or SKS is interviewed, would the interviewer not be allowed to end with, "I'm sorry, i don't believe a word you said. I wouldn't believe it if you read me the weather report."?
To be fair, no one believes a weather report.
Would that be a problem, ken?
Nah, spice, i never believe a word the politicians say, anyway. But it would be funny to see their reaction if the interviewer did utter those words :-)
I follow Pier on Twitter and his answer to Omid Scobie saying :-Discrediting a person's mental heath issue on TV reinforced a dangerous stigma and put others at risk - was - Pipe down, Lickspittle. You just trashed the Queen in your garbage book without a care for the mental health of a 95 year old woman grieving for the loss of her husband. No answer from Scobie yet!!!!
Don't really care whether his reaction was justified or not, I still find the man repugnant.
interviewers are perfectly at liberty to say that now - it's in the HOC you cant say it
I agree with Mozz
my answer was to ken
Can’t think why Meghan doesn’t sue him for casting aspersions on her integrity - and Scobie for intruding into her much guarded privacy by writing a book she had no part in.
Naomi, I suspect Megan may have yet to look up the word "integrity".
I am so glad Piers won and his response in bakerwales's post is fabulous. Well done Piers.
Choux, good point.
I am happy about the ruling.
It doesn't look as though it will give PM his old job back.
Repugnant or not, PM has the right to free speech and I hope he uses it wisely. He appears to have a reasonable following so we can expect more from him.

Wider than that we have a long way to go, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a tantrum yet from Montecito.

Wonder did Andy have an emergency.
He never returned to explain the wider impications.
