the remake of solaris is definately mine,in fact i only lasted 25 mins, before i turned it off in disgust,im sure theres others ive seen ive despised as much but this 1 stands out
I know everyone says this but Battlefield Earth really was a huge steaming pile of poo. Nuns on the Run (anything with Eric Idle) and pretty much any british film after 1971 - Rancid Aluminium springs to mind. What was that one with Rupert Everett and Bob Dylan? All rubbish! But the winner has to be the Daniel Day Lewis film The Unbearable Likeness of Being. I would rather watch a bowl of sick for 100 minutes than watch this pile of pretentious morbid rubbish. Forget the Likeness of Being bit - just utterly Unbearable.
The big screen version of The Avengers was atrocious, all the naffness of the 60s TV series with none of the redeeming charm. A more controversial choice - The Thin Red Line. I don't expect many laughs in war films, but this was just wall-to-wall depression, relieved only by spotting the star cameos - oh look, there's George Clooney, hang on, isn't that John Travolta etc.
The most recent turkey I watched was Bewitched. How on earth could they scew something like that up? Nicole Kidman wanted to be funny but no one would let her, Michael Caine seemed to have wandered into the wrong film and Will Ferrall is to comedy what cow dung is to psychology! Whoever wrote the script should lie down in a darkened room for several millenia and whoever decided to change the basic premise of the original series for this pathetic excuse for a plot should never be allowed to work in Hollywood ever again. (Guess they're probably Head of Studio now.)
Terminator 3 - tried watching it three times and fell asleep every time. Thought The Grudge was pretty pants too. Roadkill sucked big style, whichever ending you watched!!
