In answer to Sharon - yep! Totally!
the problem is that a high percentage of people are selfish thick morons, so the BBC reporting did kick them off. So we go from a few garages without fuel to most of them in a couple of days so Yes it is the BBC but mainly it's people creating the shortage by panicking.

Wonder if Grant shapps watched the programme?
I can't really see EU drivers rushing to work in the UK when there are just as many driver shortages on their side of the channel. But there doesn't seem to be any queueing or panic buying there for some reason.
jno - my guess is that their national media have not made an issue of it.

The best two things that I have heard as to resolution - (i) the greedy leeches have taken all the product that they need now and (ii) if it becomes yet another crisis, get everyone to work from home again.
Gulliver, why do you take such great pleasure in constantly informing us of the ills that befall this country?
Did other news channels and programmes also run the fuel shortage report? Are they exempt from criticism by the usual Beeb Bashers?

If Boris calls in the Army of retired HGV Drivers he has one right at hand.
Lieutenant Iain Duncan Smith... still holds an HGV licence from his Army days so he would be in perfect position for the Role of Captain Mainwaring to come to Britains aid in their hour of need.

Come on Tora, pull your socks up. This is one of the few times you can call somebody anti-British and have me completely agree with you. I'm disappointed in you. ;-)
of course he's anti British but it's more than that, he doesn't even latch on to a negative story, he manufactures them.

Well, that's a long winded way of saying "trolling", but you're not wrong. You're the master of abbreviations. Any idea what TGI means? I'm sure it's highly complimentary :-D
