Lack Of Subtitles On Amazon Prime

I was looking for something to watch this evening on Amazon Prime, but each film I chose didn’t have subtitles. Does anyone know why this would be and whether there is any department at Amazon to ask about it?

Amazon Prime Video seems to have a poor reputation for providing subtitles. They apparently don't seem to think that it's very important. According to Ofcom, Amazon Prime Video has subtitles on 87.7% of its output. (There are no figures for Netflix as, being based in the Netherlands, it doesn't come under Ofcom's control). However that figure might be misleading in that it could, for example, be achieved by having 100% of TV shows subtitled but a far smaller number of movies carrying subtitles:
