Whilst being ordered to rest I’ve just watched a couple of these episodes, in a pretty big medical practise. Now I know it’s in front of the cameras but honestly, seeing a doctor the day you ring up, getting a cancellation instantly, physio or injections straight away……. Hospital referrals almost on the spot. It’s just so far fetched. If only lol. Can’t even get in my doctors surgery still lol, everything is still over the phone, so god knows when they filmed this series., but even so it’s so unrealistic…

Which practice was it Smow? My practice took part in this series and it was filmed before the Coronavirus outbreak.

It seems there is a big disparity in what surgeries offer. In this series I've seen steroid injections for joint problems, removal of skin tags / cysts etc. Acupuncture administered by one of the docs. None of this is available at my surgery or a lot of others I guess.

Goodgoalie.All my appointments etc are done by means of home visits so being filmed wouldn't apply to me.

There have been a few locations over the years, I think this is series 7 - I wasn't aware they showed people ringing in now, it's usually from waiting room to consultation.

I think Hall Green was the most recent location.

Smow, regarding your comment about seeing a doctor the day you ring up, my practice keeps a few appointments for urgent cases so it is possible to ring up and be seen the same day.

Danny - mine seems to be unusually bad which is why I’m moving from it. It’s literally 200 metres from my house - I can see it - yet when you go there you have to ring a doorbell and even then the receptionist comes and lets you into the porch to ask what you want but won’t let you into the main building and waiting room! All since COVID began - it’s still telephone appointments only.
