I am curious about the images I've seen in the campaign to get us to have the booster jab. They say "GET BOOSTED NOW" where the 'O' in 'NOW' is yellow and a bit bigger than the other letters which are white. Does anybody have any idea what message is that supposed to convey? Whatever is is was lost on me. What agency got paid thousands to come up with that? Run by a friend of Boris perhaps?

//BUT any bs scare tactics are genuine concerns on my behalf.//

Then act accordingly on them rather than try to p ush them on others who have made their own, different decision about the vaccine. Pushing your beliefs on others who don't want it is a better fit for the religion page. ;-)
Empty vessels make the most noise, gness.
//I'm sick to death of you spouting this at every opportunity and ruining the threads of others//

Title of thread...Get Boosted Now.

The thread is really about the LOGO used in the advert, dont think its meant as an oppertunity for us all to repeat the same stuff weve gone over hundreds a times
//Title of thread...Get Boosted Now.//

The thread isn't telling people to do that, it's about the government campaign of the same name.
That is all you read, Nailit. Like a Pavlovian dog you were off. It was an interesting question if you'd bothered to read or understand it with a good reply from Bobbinwales.
nailit

Do you smoke or drink alcohol ?
To get back to the original question, it reflects the doughnut standing behind it.
I just think it's to make it visually eye catching, it's worked really.
Baz, that has nothing to do with anything.
Let nailit do as he pleases

Provided he sticks to his guns and does not waste nhs time and resources if he gets ill then I have no problem

Natural selection is the way forward from now on for the anti vaxxers
//Baz, that has nothing to do with anything.//

mamy , why not so ?

As said, Nailit has made his choice - we should leave him be and he should also stop invading threads and trying to warn others off vaccines.

Grilling him over his life choices is not for us to do.
I disagree
If he chooses to come on an open forum making specific statements about his choices particularily a choice that may contribute to and affect adversely others ; then he should expect to be challenged about that choice .

Anyway I asked him the question for a specific and particular reason because of something he said

Yes, well, that's all very well, but does anyone have a clue about the answer to my question? If the message is too subtle for most people (i.e. us) to understand, then it's not doing its job (imo). Yes, we are talking about it, but we are not talking about getting boosted. [Not until Nailit joined in.] We are talking about 'What does the big yellow 'O' mean?' No more talk of Hula Hoops, please.
I tried googling an answer, Bert, but every single story mentioned Hula Hoops and none offered an alternative explanation.

But I agree, unless its intention was to make people giggle, it's not doing its job: a designer has blundered.
Like Jno I can't find an answer, Bert. So either nobody remembers why they came up with it or Bobbinwales is correct.

I've tried emailing the Mullenlowe Group, but I had to guess at the address, so I don't know if it has worked. I googled to find the agency behind the campaign and their name came up. But they don't give an email address.
Well if you find out don't keep it to yourself! :-)
//Yes, well, that's all very well, but does anyone have a clue about the answer to my question?//

Yes.

The government employs all sorts of geeks. Among them are "behavioural scientists" and others who believe they can submit subliminal messages to the population to get them to comply with government "advice".

This is almost certainly a product of that strategy. I've no idea the significance of the "O" but a group of smart-arrises has probably spent a week in a locked, darkened room, thinking up the latest slogan to put on the lecterns of the three Ronnies when they present their next session of Covid mind games.
