A half decent series (based on Harlan Coben's books of the same name) consisting of 8 episodes which i binge-watched over two nights. Stars James Nesbitt and Jo Joyner as detectives (ex man and wife, too) investigating a disappearance. The series is filmed in the North West of England and also stars Sarah Parish, Cush Jumbo and Eddie Izzard. Well worth the watch, imho.

We have episode 1 on our TV as I type.
Lots of very familiar places, so far.
'Cassie' obviously went the long way from Cheshire to St. Helens via Blackpool Prom. ... :o)
We've watched 3 episodes so far.
It's keeping us glued! :-)
Episode 3 for me so far, but where is that suspension bridge?
Question Author
Manchester, Runcorn, Ashton, Morecambe, Blackpool - they're all in there :-)
Must admit, having watched it all, i didn't guess the murderer's i.d. (despite the clues being there, in hindsight) and that's a good thing.
Am watching too. I am on episode 4. Good.
Cush Jumbo has come a long way since Vera.
Berlin Station is quite good too.
Ah! Thanks mamya.
Must try it Ken. The only thing that puts me off is Eddie Izzard. I used to really like him but can't stand him now. But if he not acting like his real self that would be fine? I like binge washing!
Watching!
Don't know that part of England at all.
Eddie Izzard is a good actor. I don't think you'll be disappointed, Pat.
I just can't stand him as a person Patsy. I don't think I've seen him as an actor. I used to like him as a comedien until recent years. I will give it the series a try. Thanks.
Question Author
I think he appears in 3 of the episodes, Pat, and isn't on screen for very long.
I'd watch this if I had Netflix, this is my part of the country. I used to live in Widnes and we Widnesians call it the Widnes/Runcorn Bridge, but the folk in Runcorn put their town first !! It's the same type of bridge as the Sydney Harbour one.
I watched it in 2 days, very good. Have you seen Safe, by him as well?
Question Author
Yes, Pixie, another good adaptation of a Coben book.
Watched this over two nights and finished at 2.00am this morning. Somewhat complicated and a total surprise at the end!! Well worth watching!

Thanks Ken.
Thanks for the bridge information Shirley. Hubby recognised it from his working days, but couldn't place it, apart from the general area.
Oh, and Izzard was very good in it, Ken!
