A half decent series (based on Harlan Coben's books of the same name) consisting of 8 episodes which i binge-watched over two nights. Stars James Nesbitt and Jo Joyner as detectives (ex man and wife, too) investigating a disappearance. The series is filmed in the North West of England and also stars Sarah Parish, Cush Jumbo and Eddie Izzard. Well worth the watch, imho.
We have episode 1 on our TV as I type.
Lots of very familiar places, so far.
'Cassie' obviously went the long way from Cheshire to St. Helens via Blackpool Prom. ... :o)
Manchester, Runcorn, Ashton, Morecambe, Blackpool - they're all in there :-)
Must admit, having watched it all, i didn't guess the murderer's i.d. (despite the clues being there, in hindsight) and that's a good thing.
Must try it Ken. The only thing that puts me off is Eddie Izzard. I used to really like him but can't stand him now. But if he not acting like his real self that would be fine? I like binge washing!
I just can't stand him as a person Patsy. I don't think I've seen him as an actor. I used to like him as a comedien until recent years. I will give it the series a try. Thanks.
I'd watch this if I had Netflix, this is my part of the country. I used to live in Widnes and we Widnesians call it the Widnes/Runcorn Bridge, but the folk in Runcorn put their town first !! It's the same type of bridge as the Sydney Harbour one.
