Did You Know? Duel was Spielberg's first film, he was 25, he had done some TV, Columbo for example, but Duel was what got him noticed, absolute classic starring the Brilliant Dennis Weaver, I usually watch it when it comes around. Did you also know the sound the truck makes going over the cliff at the end is the actual sound also used in jaws when the shark sinks at the end?

no baz it's meant to be scary. Much of the road stuff was filmed much slower and speeded up with added sound effects.
