Saving Downloads To A Folder In Windows
I have a lot of downloads that I could do with having in separate folders but I can't find a way to move them. I have somehow managed to create one new folder but can't see how to move a download to it. Any ideas (in very simple terms please, as I have tried to watch tutorials on youtube but they lose me within seconds). Also all my downloads are now in a jumble with no alphabetic or numerical order - is there any way of getting them in an order so I don't have to keep scrolling through dozens to find what I want?

Open the download folder in one file manager and drag and drop the file I want to the new folder in the other file manager.
Another way would be to create a new folder on the desktop (as it is convenient), tick the downloads I want to move from the download folder and drag them to the new folder on the desktop. Then you can move that folder where ever you want (documents, videos etc)

yeah as someone once said - you just do it
In Docs - open a file 'D'
and then drag and drop all your downloads to it
at the top of the yellow filey thing you have a bar
name- type - dated created
and if you click on either of them - or all in an order
you will see they get sorted alphabetically, by date eetc

As well as all of the above, it might be worth changing a browser setting. As I read your post, anything that you download is currently automatically going into 'Downloads' (or similar). You can change your browser settings so that, in future, every time you download a file, you'll be asked where you want to store it. That will save you from having to locate files in 'Downloads' and then move them to somewhere more suitable. It's really easy to make the change but, if you need instructions, it would help to know which browser you're using.
