thank you both .
yes Vagus , EastEnders i remember him in (Syed Masood)
Omg. I miss the old actresses. Am finding it so disinteresting
Who do you miss JJ?

Sadly, life moves on, both in acting and midwifery.
Mamy - I won't be missing anybody to be honest as I wasn't an avid viewer anyway. But do think perhaps 1960s/actors/actresses/mothers/babies was good acting. Think the older actorsactresses seem to be struggling (methinks)
Understood, I love how it has progressed through the decades and touched on so many things that were relevant to us.
And to me - particularly the episodes of children born out of wedlock. Horrendous times - at the time - absolutely not happening today. thank God.
Indeed.
I think it is an excellent programme, but we have to wait a week to find out what happens. Next week is the end of the current series
Please save Dr. Turner. My wife will be heartbroken otherwise.
Dr Turner won't be written out - his real life wife is the creator and screenwriter of CTM
barry - if he fancies a change after 10 years she will write him out. Some actors have a fear of being typecast others relish not being out of work.
From what I've read he loves the role, he is very involved in the history of the scripts and is passionate about it.
I often wonder, when disasters happen at the end of a series, are some of the actors demanding too high a fee to appear in the next series and an opportunity to write them out is scripted in. There's currently at least 4 actors who could disappear - the two from yesterday and two of the other midwives are away at present.
But yesterday's episode wasn’t the last in the current series, was it?
No, next week is the last episode in the current series but pay negotiations probably take place well in advance of a new series being written.
Did we really need the horrendous train crash as a cliffhanger? There was already enough in that episode without the final drama.
I thought the storyline was good and well executed. No doubt next week we will find out what medical condition the train driver was sufferin with, anyone care to guess? My guess is brain tumour.
