I thought Joseph's grandma looked too young but the actoress is older than I thought....she's mid 50s but looked only 40 to me.
I allways watch but just couldn't remember seeing her before..... took me ages to vaguely remember joseph is izzys child. Can't remember who the dad was. What complicated families

Chesney is Joseph's dad. Katie was Joseph's mum, not Izzie. Owen Armstrong was Izzie's dad.

Izzy still has her baby, Jake. Gary is his dad and Gary and Izzy used Tina as a surrogate due to Izzy's medical problem

As for The Bay, maybe there wasn't a huge choice of actors who could sign and lip read and fit the role. I know Nadeem looks to old to be a schoolboy but I think his acting is good. I like his character in the series

Thanks. Part of the reason we forget is we hardly ever see the babies- eg Liam, the quads, Jake, and the parents seem to work and have a full social life without mentioning them

Joseph's mum Katie died in a car crash 'off screen' so father Chesney took him.

Izzy and son Jake are still talked about but are rarely seen.

bob, there has been very strict restrictions on child actors due to Covid and of course Corrie is filmed at least three months in advance.
Cherelle Houston, who plays Izzie, has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and has rightly been isolating.

I agree though that the children in Corrie are never seem much - Tracy grew up in her bedroom :D

I'm glad this question was asked, I recognised Joseph's Grandma, but couldn't think were from. What an attractive lady she is, she looks years younger than her 50's. I also couldn't get the connection with Izzy, so glad that's been explained as well.

Yes, I too was wondering where Daniel's son was when he spent the night at the Rovers - he never seems to be home !
